If you aren’t familiar with my story,  I grew up in Indiana and began my finance career in Dayton, Ohio before moving to Findlay in 2019 and joining Hixon Zuercher as a Wealth Advisor. Over time, I not only gained professional experience, but found a new place to call my home. My community involvement in the area was slim at first, but I wanted that to change. I quickly found Zonta Club of Findlay, where I could use my passion for both women empowerment and community service for good.
If you haven’t heard of Zonta, it is a global service organization of executives and professionals who work together to advance the status of women through service and advocacy. Locally, we plan and participate in many service and fellowship opportunities that benefit women/children in Findlay, as well as in other countries. As Finance Chairwomen of Zonta, I was granted the opportunity to use my professional skills to aid the well-established organization. Through the years, Zonta Club of Findlay has participated in putting together care packages for victims of sexual abuse, putting on The Zonta Spring Style Show which benefited organizations like Keeping Kids Safe Foster Care Agency, the Findlay Enrichment Program, and the BVH Forensic Nurse Program. Not only can members participate in service activities, but Zonta also offers several scholarships for Hancock-County women. Some of these include The Zonta International Jane M. Klausman Women in Business Scholarships, The Evelyn B. Hamilton Scholarship, and The Non-Traditional Scholarship. I highly encourage all women who are attending high school or college to apply for next year’s scholarships. Zonta has SO many opportunities to get involved and better the community, which is one of the reasons why I love it so much. With that being said, I’m very pleased to announce my latest induction as Vice President of Zonta Club of Findlay!
Remember: If plan A doesn’t work out, the alphabet has 25 more letters… I found my Z in Zonta.
